Architectonical monument from crashed cars to encourage safer driving habits in Lithuania

Lithuanian drivers risk a lot more than in any other European country. Drinking, speeding and no seat-belts are local habits. Together with a tv producer and the local government, I decided to create a monument to confront people with the results of the driving behaviors. From 14 heavily damaged cars and in which people died, we made an installation with characteristics of a chapel. We used heavy machines to put the cars into a long shape with interior and exterior, finding an end in two cars symbolizing a cross. We illuminated the installation just with candles. The idea is to start discussions on different levels about road safety.
